During the last weekend of October, Cesar Parra came to our church, Margaree Valley Baptist, in Margaree Valley, Nova Scotia, for a time of evangelism training.
On Saturday morning, the men from our church had a stirring time as Cesar challenged us using real life examples, to initiate contact with lost people, start conversations and share the Gospel. He also shared examples about urging people to respond there and then to follow Christ. Many of us felt like that was a word we needed to hear.
That Saturday night, we had a youth emphasis night. Cesar shared a Gospel message urging the young people to respond to Christ. A handful of youth went forward and we believe at least two were saved. A number of believers also went forward, young and old, to commit to sharing the Gospel regularly in their lives.
On Sunday, people laughed and cried their way through the morning sermon as the Spirit worked in Hearts. Several believers responded to the message and went forward surrendering their lives more fully to Christ.
We had a marvelous few days as we watched the Spirit work throughout the weekend. Saints were encouraged and some of our youth were saved. It was a great time in the Lord and we look forward to having Cesar again.
