Ladies’ night out, Christmas edition was held on Saturday, December 1. About 20 ladies from The Gathering house church in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, got together to enjoy this fun Christmas event.
The ladies enjoyed games, food, carols, hot chocolate and great fellowship.
Wonderful baskets were made up for which ladies attending could buy $1 draw tickets to enter for each basket they wanted. The more tickets they purchased, the better chance they had to win. A variety of themed baskets were arranged for all ages, including a Wizard of Oz set, Care Bear and book set, Valentine craft kit, Christmas hamper and more. This raised $130 which was donated to the local ladies shelter. In addition, the ladies and their families purchased and donated articles useful for women in shelters.
It was a spectacular evening of Christmas fun and excitement with fellowship drawing the ladies closer together!
The Gathering house church meets each Saturday evening starting with potluck supper at 6:00 pm and worship at 7:00 pm. The venue is Dave and Dawn Bonney's home in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.
Through the ministry of the house church, people are coming to know Christ and are getting involved in church.
- Some of the unchurched ladies who attended the Christmas event now attend one of the other CNBC churches in Prince Albert.
- Also, while the ladies were fellowshipping, Pastor Dave had lunch with the spouse of one of the pre-Christians who attended, and within a month that man said yes to Jesus. We are all very encouraged with what God did and continues to do!
On Sunday mornings Dave and his family pastor/preach at Hi-Way Harvest Baptist Church in Smeaton, Saskatchewan, which is a 50 minute drive from Prince Albert.
