Job Term: 1 Permanent Full Time

Cornerstone Baptist Church, affiliated with the Canadian National Baptist Convention, and holds to the Baptist Faith and Message.
Located in the heart of the Peace Country, 115km North of Grande Prairie.
The congregation consists of about 80-100 attendees from newborn to seniors. We have a strong youth group and young adult community.

JOB SUMMARY:
Lead Pastor is to be the Shepherd with a vision to lead the congregation to spiritual maturity through sound teaching based on the solid foundation of God’s Word. Helping it to accomplish God’s direction and purposes.
Qualifications:
- Live a godly and spirit-filled life in accordance with the virtues found in 1Timothy 3: 1- 7 and Titus 1: 5-9
- Adhere to the values and beliefs including the Constitution and bylaws of Cornerstone Baptist Church (CBC).
- Seminary or graduate school or pastoral experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Provide spiritual leadership and conduct activities including, but not limited to, biblical preaching, and observing ordinances practiced by the Church.
- Demonstrate leadership through their open example of life within the church in personal discipleship and prayer.
- As a servant leader, build a climate of teamwork, accountability, and growth together with the Elders and Deacons, within the CBC family.
- Have a heart for evangelism, missions and outreach, and leading members of the Church in discipleship to accomplish these goals.
- Develop relationships with other pastors, churches, and Christian ministries in the community, seeking cooperation when feasible.
- Provide the vision for the growth and direction of the CBC Congregation. Evaluate the congregation's growth and performance and shepherd the congregation to achieve its goals.
