Pastor Search: Community Baptist Church

Community Baptist Church is currently seeking a Lead pastor who embodies the biblical virtues found in 1Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9, and who is especially gifted in the following areas:

  • Preaching
  • Teaching
  • Evangelism and Discipleship
  • Strong Interpersonal and People skills, including interactive connection and outreach with members of the congregation and the community at large.

The Lead pastor will be the spiritual leader of the Church, and will provide guidance to the various ministries and programs of the Church.

We are located in the historic city of Charlottetown, in Prince Edward Island. The City of Charlottetown is a flourishing community of about 80,347 and is known as the “Birthplace of Confederation”.
Prince Edward Island is a great place to live and raise a family. As a result we have had a significant population growth, as many people from larger provinces are re-locating to PEI.

Community Baptist Church started as a small prayer group and was constituted as a church on August 29, 1993.
We are a small church with a congregation of about 100 people, across many generations. We are blessed with a multiculturally and multinationally diverse congregation.

Similar to many small city churches, the age profile of Community Baptist Church has been rising, and we seek a pastor who shares our vision to grow the youth ministry and attract younger families in the community.

Our church has been able to adapt our programs to conform to the Public Health COVID-19 restrictions without compromising our commitment to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Community Baptist Church is affiliated with the Canadian National Baptist Convention.
