Edmonton Churches Worship Together on Good Friday

By Dennis Milne

What I saw at the Edmonton churches’ Good Friday service was a little view of what I believe heaven will be like.

As we waited for the service to start, Maddie Milne and Bryan Reddick played some inspirational songs to prepare our hearts for the joint worship service. Then we were inspired as Kingdom Minded Church took the platform to lead the churches in songs of the Lord of lords and King of kings. The people of God were truly moved as we worshipped together. Those leading worship shared God’s love with all of us. No one could deny that God was truly with us, a wonderful image of what heaven will be like.

The Kingdom of God that gathered at Jasper Place Baptist Church was from all the corners of the world. Africa, Europe, Southeast Asia, Asia, and North America were all represented. Worshipping together, singing in our native languages, and hearing God speak to us was inspirational. It was such a beautiful day as we recalled the sacrifice of Jesus for all people of every nation.

I brought the message, and I counted it a privilege to challenge the people of God to allow the message of Good Friday to penetrate their lives and their hearts.
