A Well Rounded Spiritual Life

 download.pdf

Before we trusted in Christ we ourselves organized many aspects of life. We had relationships, finances, education, family, career, exercise, intimacy. It was complicated and often chaotic! A Believer now learns to live over again, with Jesus as the organizer.

This app uses the Well-Rounded Wheel diagram to help a DiscipleMaker show six different areas God will develop them in. It’s simple to draw and easy to discuss. Insights:

• the Hub used to be ME. Now it’s JESUS. We center our life around him. He helps us make decisions, determine our lifestyle and live out our dreams (discuss Gal. 2.20; Col. 2.6-7; 3.3-4; 2 Cor. 5.17)

• the two vertical, two horizontal Spokes are the connectors. Vertical spokes connect us to God. Horizontal spokes connect us to our world.

Our life is full of brokenness - broken relationships, broken promises, broken expectations. How can we live with that brokenness without becoming bitter and resentful except by returning again and again to God's faithful presence in our lives. -- Henri Nouwen
